Condition Grading
We ask that everyone who sells on Merchagogo realistically appraise the condition of their items. However, since Merchagogo is largely populated with pre-owned products, we wanted to remind prospective buyers that condition assessments should be regarded skeptically.
For example, it's possible to find vinyl records listed as "New." While this could be technically true, and the record itself may never have been played, the album may be months or years old. It may have sat on a shelf in a warehouse that lacks heating or air conditioning. It may have been moved from one apartment to another over the last 8 years, accruing scratches, scrapes and bent corners.
Likewise, apparel may have never been warn a single day, but snags, pinpoint stains and sun fading are common realities when dealing with pre-owned clothing.
While we sincerely wish all sellers would post dozens of detailed photos to give shoppers a complete picture of what's for sale, it's a fact of the marketplace that you may see a single image for "New" or "Mint" listings. Please be realistic when you see this grading and either reach out to the seller to learn more, or be prepared for minor imperfections when purchasing.
As always, if you experience difficulty during or after a purchase and want to dispute the advertised condition of an item, you absolutely can by contacting the Merchagogo team at support@merchagogo.com.
